I read about this mother to-be locking herself naked in a cage to protest pig farming or something and it got me thinking about all the other great naked protesters throughout history.

Which led me to this list of the World’s Most Naked Protesters. Very Nice.

But what if I want to keep tabs on the world of naked protesting? Well this site has all the latest in public nudity for the public interest.

The second annual LA KinkBall Fetish Weekend took place last weekend, and I was happy to have been invited to photograph this three-day event once again. Last year’s Kink Ball Weekend proved to be one of the best parties in the states, in my opinion, and I’m glad to report that this year was also a great success. Thanks to the hard work of the innovative Robert Fluty, the LA KinkBall Fetish Weekend is turning into one of the best fetish events in the USA. FetishMovies.com, once again, sponsored the entire weekend as well as my trip to photograph, the event.

Friday night’s Fade to Black party was the official meet and greet kickoff, and was held in a very cool club called Bordello. This lush 1940’s style club was ideal for a more intimate evening, with its thick velvet curtains, antique love seats, and ornate gilded stage. It has a great vibe, and my personal favorite night of the weekend.

Hosting the entertainment for the evening was Prince Poppycock, the Rococo Opera/Rock god, dirty, flirty, and one of the most talented performers I’ve ever seen at a fetish event. You could hear an audible gasp from the audience as soon as he began to sing, surprising them with his operatic prowess. The evening was filled with exciting and new performances, breaking away from the typical fetish stage shows I’ve seen in the past year. One of my favorites of the evening was Ariellah, a world renowned gothic fusion belly dancer. She mesmerized the audience with her seductive undulations, merging various genres of belly dancing into her own sinuous blend.

Also making her LA debut Friday night was latex model, performer and designer, Von Livid with her latex couture clothing line, House of Bias. Her beautiful tri-colored collection was enhanced by an equally beautiful bevy of fetish models.

After the main event, a short walk led to the after party. The party was held in a newly designed dungeon space that was filled with a large collection of toys and furniture, and it included a medical room. It was refreshing to be able to photograph play in such a beautiful space that led to some great images. One of my favorite photo sets from the weekend was a piercing and lacing by Master Liam and his brother. The beautiful Miss Alice played the perfect little pin-cushion while her deviant Master first pierced then used a violet wand to send a delicious little jolt through the metal needles. Saturday night’s party, Asylum, was moved to a new venue from last year’s event. Because of ongoing litigation with their landlord regarding “adult” events, The Knitting Factory was forced to cancel the Saturday night event less than 90 days out, forcing the organizers to either postpone or find another venue. Fortunately they were able to secure the Key Club, located in West Hollywood. This was a great venue, with three floors, a huge stage, and even a restaurant on premises.

Mistress of ceremonies for the night was the ubiquitous RubberDoll, who seems to be everywhere that I am! Making their US debut, The Swiss based electro-pop band FAQ has teamed up with RubberDoll to create a provocative fetish and live music performance. Anastasia Pierce played the tortured mental patient to RubberDoll’s devious nurse.

My favorite performance of the night was by the award-winning performer and choreographer Elayssa, who unveiled her newest original dance collaboration “Diffidence.” Diffidence depicts a single mind ravaged with conflict by the Freudian Id, Ego, and Super Ego, struggling to find inner peace. This dark, sexy dance was set to an evocative, creepy soundtrack, while three tormented Victorian sirens danced in unison.

Also performing was Fetish/bondage model Eden Wells who enclosed herself inside a seven-foot diameter, air tight, plastic ball while dressed in sexy latex stockings, gloves, and wearing a squirting latex dildo. As her air supply dwindled, she entertained the crowd with her seductive movements and masturbatory fantasy, splattering the inside of the ball in her auto-erotic asphyxiation.

Hosting the rubber play room area in the lower floor dungeon space, Dante Posh spent the night tucking latex lovers into her vacuum bed and subjecting them to all sorts of sensual delights.

The third and final night of the three day weekend was the highly acclaimed Masque fetish dinner hosted by Kink in the Caribbean creator, Robert Fluty. What a fun night this was! Imagine a decadent dinner surrounded by pervy people dressed in high fetish clothing, all while being entertained by some of the most talented performers in the fetish and alt scene. The food was excellent, and the entertainment even better.

Once again, the evening was hosted by the talented Prince Poppycock. Included in the evenings lineup, was featured guest Anastasia Pierce who enthralled the audience with two sexually charged performances. Dancing for the crowd again was the sensual belly dancer Ariellah and an encore performance by Elayssa’s dance troupe.

One of the more exciting performances of the night was a wild west suspension by LA bondage icon Mykal Binds. Beautiful wild horse rope bottom, Vee Venom, pranced onto the stage in full pony gear complete with a large leather saddle. With his vigorous, energetic rope work, Mykal suspended the pretty pony in her saddle and proceeded to mount and ride her while the crowd cheered.

On the lighter side, we were treated to the comedy burlesque of Dot Toddy, MC Lisp, and Sir Heffington, who all amused the crowd with their offbeat routines. My personal favorite as photographer was the pyrotechnics of Fyre God Zor, who displayed his remarkable skills with flame, creating some very striking images in the Sunday night Masque photo gallery.

I was excited to make the cross-continental trip to LA for this year’s LA KinkBall Fetish Weekend, and was not at all disappointed. As usual, I always feel as though I didn’t take enough pictures. This year I think I spent more time enjoying the scene and beautiful people, and not enough time snapping my shutter! I hope you enjoy the galleries.

I kid.

Craig Gross and I have had this debate more than two dozen times on college campuses all over the country. Debate is healthy, everybody’s doing it.
