Sasha Grey is one of the most interesting porn stars I’ve ever had the privilege of interviewing. You never really know what the next thing to come out of her mouth will be, because she’s not predictable like most porn stars are.
There has been a lot of press & buzz around Sasha Grey lately because of her team up with Steven Soderbergh in ‘The Girlfriend Experience’. In the movie, Sasha Grey plays a call girl and there’s really no nudity at all (this is what I’ve read on sundance.com).. it’s not getting any good reviews, really and that sorta bums me out. I was hoping it was going to be a big hit and the masses would learn to be more accepting of the porn industry, but I’m noticing that’s just one huge pipe dream.
Anyway! Sasha Grey also teamed up with VBS and did a 3 part video interview and photo shoot. The interview is very interesting, yet kind of creepy how the dudes are pretty much idolizing her. Take a look:
The only problem I have with the interview is that Sasha Grey and the Interviewer are once again, idolizing what she does. I understand that being a porn star can be really great in the sense that you’re opening up a lot of peoples eyes to new things, but I don’t believe it’s heroic. However, I can definitely respect the fact that she’s a film nerd and that she appreciates good cinema.
