HotMovies Signs S.I.R. Productions

PHILADELPHIA — National A-1 Internet, parent company to HotMovies.com and HotMoviesForHer.com, has announced an exclusive content deal with lesbian porn pioneers S.I.R. Productions.

HotMovies and HotMoviesForHer are the first video-on-demand websites to offer S.I.R.’s classic movies to the masses for their pay-per-minute pleasure. HotMovies.com boasts the world’s biggest library of porn, with more than 145,000 movies available in streaming and downloadable formats.

According to the company, S.I.R. Productions was the first independent, lesbian-owned production company to have its films widely recognized and lauded by the adult industry — and its movies have continued to influence successive generations of adult producers.

“S.I.R. Productions blew my young mind with their authentic lesbian movies that managed to be both erotic and hardcore,” James Cybert, director of business development for HotMovies, said. “I was obsessed with these films when they came out and love them even more today.”

Joslyn James Plans to Attend The Masters

One of Tiger Woods’ alleged mistresses on Monday told Fox News she plans to attend the Masters next week while Woods is playing in the tournament.

Joslyn James will be performing at an Atlanta strip club April 8-10, during the first three rounds of the tournament. Augusta National is about 150 miles from Atlanta.

Joslyn is seemingly demanding a personal apology for not only her, but for all of the alleged mistresses’, from Tiger directly.

“You’re supposed to apologize to them directly and make amends,” she said, referring to Woods’ supposed rehab for a sex addiction, “and I’ve yet to see anything that even resembles that.” – Fox News

If Joslyn does show her face at Augusta during the tournament, there’s no chance of a conflict between her and Tiger’s wife, Elin Nordegren. Elin has decided to remain in Sweden during the competition.

It is hard to tell whether Joslyn James’ continued aggravation of the Tiger Woods scandals is for personal gain or for social justice as she claims. Her release of the dirty text messages Tiger had sent her came questionably late after her initial report of being a mistress. It will be interesting to see if this scandal will continue after Tiger’s return to golf at The Masters Tournament.

John Edwards Sex Tape is Fire Proof

(CNN) — A sex tape allegedly showing former Sen. John Edwards survived a fire that torched a North Carolina courthouse on Thursday.

Actually, the tape that was the subject of a February court hearing at the historic Chatham County Courthouse was not at the courthouse during the blaze, city officials said.

The tape, said to show Edwards and his former mistress Rielle Hunter, had been moved to another facility, said Debora Henzey, community relations director for Chatham County.

Seven fire departments responded to the blaze at the courthouse in downtown Pittsboro about 4:45 p.m. Thursday. It took firefighters hours to quell the blaze, which severely damaged the courthouse.

In February, the courthouse was the scene of the legal battle over the sex tape, with Hunter suing for its return.

At the hearing, Judge Abraham Penn Jones found former Edwards aide Andrew Young and his wife, Cheri, in civil contempt of court and ordered them to hand over the tape to the court.

In court documents, the Youngs had said that the video showed “Senator Edwards engaged in sexual activities with a woman who, from all indications, is not his wife and who the Youngs believe to be Ms. Hunter, based upon her appearance.”

In January, Edwards admitted that he had fathered a child with Hunter, a videographer who worked on his 2008 presidential campaign.

Edwards had publicly denied paternity for more than a year. About a week after his admission, he confirmed reports that he had legally separated from his wife, Elizabeth.

Those announcements came just before Andrew Young released an embarrassing book about the Edwardses and his campaign.

Panasonic Sells Out of 3D Televisions

After only a week of being available, Panasonic has completely sold out of it’s new 3D Televisions.

Bloomberg.com reports the Panasonic became the first to offer 3D sets in the U.S. with the March 10 release of its 50-inch full high-definition plasma TV that came with a pair of glasses and a 3-D Blu-ray player, retailing at $2,899.99.

Hustler recently unveiled plans to produce “This Ain’t Avatar XXX” parody in 3D, which is set to street in the summer. Rob Smith, Hustler’s Director of Operations, is happy with Panasonic and looking forward to the other television manufacturers’ success in 3D technology as well.

“Hustler is very excited by the success of Panasonic with its first run of 3D televisions,” Smith said. “We also look forward to JVC, Phillips, and others doing well in the market. I feel that the groundwork for 3D in the home is already being laid by the mainstream film industry. With all the great feature films coming out in 3D people are going to want that technology in the home and after spending money on that new 3D TV, why not watch your porn that way? What you gain from 3D, the depth and the heightened realism, has its greatest impact in adult content. 3D is perfect for porn and vice versa.”

There has been some curiosity surrounding Hustler’s plans for more 3D titles. The major porn giant has not made any plans to create more 3D porn, but it’s not due to production difficulty.

“I don’t see it being an impediment,” he said. “At the moment it’s unfamiliar territory and it requires planning, forethought, and testing. Like all new production technology it will quickly become just the norm.

“My only concern with 3D in the home is competing 3D methods and players. The home viewing market, whether DVD, broadcast, or streaming content won’t be able to support a handful of delivery formats. We need a 3D standard for Blu-ray and broadcast to emerge.”

Google Refuses to Censor for China

Google and China continue to duke it out over web freedom.

Google may decide to close all operations in China if an agreement cannot be reached concerning China’s regulation of search results. Closing would greatly affect Google’s partners in China; who would then have to either find a different search partner to power their tools or filter search results themselves in order to comply with China’s regulations.

Although this has been brought about by Google refusing to censor it’s search results in China, the decision has been applauded. At a March 2 hearing on Internet freedom in Washington, D.C., assistant Senate Majority Leader Dick Durbin (D-IL) praised Google for its decision.

Google CEO Eric Schmidt is confident a solution will be found.

.XXX Tries Again

ICANN has deferred a decision for at least 70 days on whether to create the “.xxx” domain name as an online red-light district.

The board of ICANN – the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers – has given its chief executive and chief lawyer two weeks to recommend options for the agency to handle the controversial issue. ICANN, which was meeting in Kenya, oversees the allocation of Internet addresses globally.

The .xxx domain campaign has seen three strikes already from ICANN. If denied again after the 70 day layover, this would be the fourth. “.xxx” is a proposed top-level domain (TLD) intended as a voluntary option for sexually explicit sites on the Internet. The name is inspired by the former MPAA and BBFC “X” rating, now commonly applied to pornographic movies as “XXX”. ICANN announced in June 1, 2005 that .xxx would become a sponsored top-level domain similar to .aero, .travel, etc. but it was never implemented. On May 10, 2006, ICANN reversed its decision, and on March 30, 2007, ICANN rejected the .xxx proposal a third time.

Condoms Required by Law?

The AIDS Healthcare Foundation filed suit with Cal/OSHA last December claiming the adult industry ““refused to take any steps to protect its workers from disease spread by blood borne pathogens”.

“The adult film industry has steadfastly refused to take any steps to protect its workers from diseases spread by blood borne pathogens, resulting in thousands of employees becoming infected with sexually transmitted diseases. Clarification and enhanced enforcement of the rules are called for,” wrote AIDS Healthcare Foundation President Michael Weinstein.

Cal/OSHA has recommended the creation of an advisory committee to consider amending section 5193 of the California labor code “in order to give greater protection to employees in the adult film industry.”

Although, the million dollar decision is still not quite upon us. The standards board will decide whether or not to create an advisory committee at 10 a.m. March 18 at the Costa Mesa City Council Chambers located at 77 Fair Drive in Costa Mesa.

The board will consider amending section 5193 of the California labor code “in order to give greater protection to employees in the adult film industry.” Section 5193 applies to all establishments where occupational exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials is possible.

Ben Stiller shocked the 25th annual Independent Spirit Awards with Porn.

Remembering Jamie Gillis

After John Holmes and Harry Reems, the next two most recognizable male faces from the early days of adult films would probably be Jamie Gillis and John Leslie—and fondly enough, the two were best friends.

“I remember the day I met him,” Leslie told AVN. “It was my first trip to New York in 1976, and I was staying with this woman, Sandy, who was an agent in the business at that time, and we went to this off-Broadway show that was about the porno business, and Jamie was there with other people and that’s the first time we met. I’d seen him in the movies and I was a fan of his, and we hit it off right away, and soon after that, I cooked my first meal for him at Sandy’s place. I’ve cooked for him countless times over the years. The dinner was filet of sole Claudine; I saw it on TV, so I figured I’d just try it, and it came out real good and we had a nice dinner. So we remained close.

“We were on a number of sets together, and always had a good time, and he actually lived with me for a little while here in Marin, and he was with me the day Ecstasy Girls swept the AFA awards in 1980,” Leslie continued. “I’ll never forget that night. It was a wonderful night. Everybody loved what happened. Everything was well-deserved, and everybody felt that way. It was [Harold Lime's] movie, and the feeling that night was just warm and cozy and fuzzy and wonderful. Everybody was happy for them for winning those awards, and we were staying at the Holiday Inn, I think it was on Hollywood Boulevard, at that time, and the next day we were going to travel to—I was going back home, and we were traveling to San Francisco with [Harold] and Jesie St. James and a bunch of other people; we were going to do a movie up here. So before we went to the airport, we met in this little lounge where we had a bite of breakfast or something, and I was talking to Jamie, and I said, ‘What a wonderful night that was.’ I didn’t want it to end, it was such a beautiful night, and I remember him saying to me, ‘It was bittersweet, you know.’ So we went to the airport in Burbank and we’re together and we both see this woman, and Jamie goes, ‘Oh,’ and he goes over and starts talking to her, and I’m right with him, and her and I lock eyes, and that was it. That’s my wife. So we got on the plane, and Kathleen and I were sitting and talking, and we weren’t talking to everybody else, and actually everybody left the plane, and the next thing I knew, they were tapping us on the shoulder, saying, ‘You’ve got to get off the plane now.’ And we’ve been together every since. And Jamie felt very much a part of our relationship, and very close to us, and obviously he was at our house many, many, many times once she moved up here and we married and everything. It was part of how close we were; all this stuff built into our relationship, you know. And he always respected me so much for what I did and my paintings and my music, and obviously my acting and directing.”

Another highly recognizable face would have been Ron Jeremy’s, and he too has good memories of Gillis.

“When I first got in the business,” Jeremy recalled, “Harry Reems had retired, John Holmes was in and out of jail, and so the guy that I looked up to the most was really Jamie Gillis; he was like the number one guy when I got into porn. He was the top guy. He was like number one, Marc Stevens was like number two, and then John Leslie was number three. Jamie was number one. He was also a Jewish boy, we used to talk about that as well, and also was a college graduate; he went to Columbia. And Jamie kind of took me under his wing a little bit; he helped me get a part in Dracula Exotica where I played a henchman. My first dialogue scene was with Jamie, and he had sex with Marlene Willoughby on the big feast table, and I did a sex scene later on in the film.” Read the rest of this entry »
