WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Woodhull Sexual Freedom Alliance has just released The State of Sexual Freedom in the United States, 2011 Report, an in-depth look at some of America’s sexual freedom, health, politics, identity and policy issues. Contributors include some of America’s best-known researchers, writers, activists, academics and legal experts—and AVN senior editor Mark Kernes. Reflecting Woodhull’s mission to affirm sexual freedom as a fundamental human right, the report’s chapters cover relationships and family, sexual speech, sexuality education, sexual health, and the freedom of sexual expression.

“We are living in a very fluid time for personal rights and liberties.” said Ricci Levy, Woodhull’s executive director. “A broad range of observers suggest that America is in the grip of a ‘sex panic,’ not unusual when so many people are anxious about our country’s direction and their own future. This report is intended to inform discussions about sexual freedom from statehouses to houses of worship to the house next door. PHILADELPHIA – HotMovies.com announced today the release of its eighth exclusive classic from the famed but nearly impossible to find Command Cinema library. October Silk will premiere on the popular VOD site just in time for the month for which it was named.

Once again, legendary Producer/Director Cecil Howard agreed with HotMovies to screen the film in Pay-Per-Minute and streaming rental formats for an exclusive one-month run. Like most of Howard’s highly regarded movies from the 1980s, Silk has never seen a DVD release so those without a rare VHS or Beta copy will finally have the chance to view it, but only during the month of October.

“Howard’s movies are all special,” said HotMovies director of business development James Cybert. “They all have the right mix of plotting and eroticism, just enough lead-in to get the audience invested for the good stuff. What we really liked about this one is the amazing lineup of ten golden age starlets at their absolute hottest.”

It’s hard to say, but to me it looks like maybe 5,000 to 10,000; maybe even like 20,000 extra porno DVDs. They just sit there in boxes, providing no boners, and that ain’t right.

So what can we do with them? I know what you’re thinking, you greedy American Capitalist pigs, you think we should sell them. Well we already do- on the internet. I run Google Analytics reports on my sites, export the data into CSV, open in Excel and massage the information to get the feel of the Interwebs pervvy underbelly.

I’ll take the most uniquely viewed porn stars, turn them into an html table and share the info you you fine people.

Normally I do this through a series of concatenation and substitution formulas.

It sounds kind of awkward and time consuming, but realistically it only takes a few minutes of cutting and pasting.
I could write a program to do it, but then I don’t get the ‘feel’ that I like from actually creating the reports.

I might miss out on some nuances that would be taken for granted if only presented with a list of names.

But I digress – the reason for today’s post – nested substitutions in Excel are amazing and simple.
instead of manipulating each column and then reprocessing the data, I can easily do it all at once with nested substitution.
I don’t know why I never thought of it before. But I’ve been running these reports and others like it for 10 years.
I guess because they are so easy to do anyway I never put the extra thought into how it could be better.
