What is DomConLA?

DomConLA is a convergence of fetish practitioners from around the world. It was a People’s Choice Event of the year for 2011. In 2012, it looks to repeat last year’s success, bringing in some of the biggest names in the Fetish World.

Who will be there?

The convention will feature many luminaries in the fetish world, including Mistresses from around the United States and many other parts of the world. The event is hosted by the renowned Mistress Cyan, and features a guest appearance by the also famous Irene Boss. DomConLA is a practical “Who’s Who” of the fetish world.

The event is in Los Angeles, California. It’s specific location is at the the Los Angeles Hilton Hotel LAX, Los Angeles Airport, 5711 West Century  Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90045. The dates are May 16-20 2012.

Classes and Workshops are located in The Plaza Ballrom Classrooms and are accesable from inside The DomCon Exhibitor Hall. Classes and Workshops are open to all Attendees throughout the day. Informal demos will also be occurring all day in many of the booths on the Convention Floor. The DomCon Play Party. Held at one of L.A.’s most prestigious Dungeons, the 7000 square foot Sanctuary Studios just minutes from DomCon at The Los Angeles Hilton LAX. “(Las Vegas, NV) Last Friday and Saturday, the Porn Star Road Trip came to Council Bluffs, IA for a two nights of feature dancing at the Bottoms Up Lounge. As usual, the bus was parked out front of the nightclub to promote the fact that porn babes Charlot Temple, Tori Taylor and Gemma Owens along with the PSRT crew were in town. But the residents of the Twin Cities were in an uproar over the bus. They even called the local news station to voice their concerns with school-age children being subjected to the bus. Lead anchor, Chase Moffitt, referred to the bus as “adult entertainment on wheels”, and it was the lead story on WOWT News Saturday night.

“We’re bringing porn to the people and there’s absolutely nothing questionable about the bus,” says Cory Biggs, CEO. “It’s very tasteful, we were very careful to design the bus without salacious images that some might consider inappropriate. We acknowledge our product is for adults only and at no time have we ever intentionally marketed our product to children. We were in a legally zoned area and had permission from the club to park the bus in front, like we always do. Our goal is to bring porn to the people and we’re doing that. AEE and CES will not be overlapping in Las Vegas in 2012.

Unfortunately, there will be one major part of past AEE weekends missing in 2012. Due to scheduling anomalies, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) will not be in town over any of the corresponding dates. We know… we cried too. Many are not aware that AEE and CES were once the same entity, and that is why the two shows have accompanied each other as a major joint attraction in Vegas through recent history. “This is only the second time in recent memory that the event will not overlap with C.E.S.,” said Brian Gross, a spokesman for AVN. A survey was taken a few years ago that measured about 30% of AEE fan day attendance as also attending CES. Considering the rarity of this split in events, it will be very interesting to see if one or both expos see either an increase or decline in foot traffic this year.

Winners will be announced at the 29th annual AVN awards ceremony, held on Saturday, January 21 at The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nev.
