DistribPix Re-masters 35mm Classics Exclusively on HotMovies.com

Philadelphia, PA – HotMovies.com proudly teams up with classic porn studio DistribPix to release a series of digitally restored and re-mastered classics from the golden age of porn.

The first round of high definition transfers will include Private Afternoons of Pamela Mann and Inside Little Oral Annie, with stars like Barbara Bourbon and Georgina Spelvin. “This is what porn was like before Deep Throat,” said James Cybert, HotMovies director of business development. “These are shot on film, on location in New York. Once again, legendary Producer/Director Cecil Howard agreed with HotMovies to screen the film in Pay-Per-Minute and streaming rental formats for an exclusive one-month run. Like most of Howard’s highly regarded movies from the 1980s, Silk has never seen a DVD release so those without a rare VHS or Beta copy will finally have the chance to view it, but only during the month of October.

“Howard’s movies are all special,” said HotMovies director of business development James Cybert. “They all have the right mix of plotting and eroticism, just enough lead-in to get the audience invested for the good stuff. I run Google Analytics reports on my sites, export the data into CSV, open in Excel and massage the information to get the feel of the Interwebs pervvy underbelly.

I’ll take the most uniquely viewed porn stars, turn them into an html table and share the info you you fine people.

Normally I do this through a series of concatenation and substitution formulas.

It sounds kind of awkward and time consuming, but realistically it only takes a few minutes of cutting and pasting.
I could write a program to do it, but then I don’t get the ‘feel’ that I like from actually creating the reports.

I might miss out on some nuances that would be taken for granted if only presented with a list of names.

But I digress – the reason for today’s post – nested substitutions in Excel are amazing and simple.
instead of manipulating each column and then reprocessing the data, I can easily do it all at once with nested substitution.
I don’t know why I never thought of it before. But I’ve been running these reports and others like it for 10 years.
I guess because they are so easy to do anyway I never put the extra thought into how it could be better.

We’ve been upgrading and improving our search capabilities over the past few weeks.

As a result, you can now search through 24,000 series and 7,000 directors.

The director search really helps you find the movies that were co-directed by people you might really like.

Paul Thomas for example.
He’s directed over 200 movies for various studios including a few of my favorites (the Masseuse (2004), Bad Wives)
But he also co-directed a few movies for Vivid that weren’t as easy to locate before.

Henri Pachard is another director that I enjoy. I believe Babalyon Pink was one of his best titles – but it was co-directed by the legendary Cecil Howard – If I looked at the Cecil Howard or Henri Pachard director page only, I might not have known this title was available. Thank you new director search.

The series search is helpful for finding a series of movies shot with the same style.
