What made you choose “Hammerheads”? Any specific reason why you didn’t choose “Scores Sports Bar” where you began your Adult Dancing? Considering it’s in the same town…
I have always enjoyed Hammerheads Bar in my hometown, I know everyone who comes in, who works there, and they actually offered to have the party there and it just made sense to celebrate it with my friends. As for not having the party at Scores Sports Bar, we just were not able to work out a time that worked for everyone, and I wanted to have a more relaxed environment for everyone where they do not feel pressured to spend lots of money just to get to hang out with us but to actually just hang out at a bar, eat some snack, get some drinks, dance, and just have a good time.
Who are some of the notables who will be attending this Soiree de Misti Dawn?
I can not confirm anyone specifically but Dave Navarro has mentioned he might, as you know I am his weather girl for his radio show Dark Matter every Wednesday on Indie 103.1 in LA (but also avialable on podcast) and Chris Gore from G4 Attack of the Show might come. There is a perfect word which explains the coincidental nature of this post. Serendipity is a word i try not to use too often, but when I am logging in to post a couple shout-outs from Misti Dawn to HotMovies…there’s just no better description.
I guess it’s time to “let the cat out of the bag” on my love for Misti. If the AVN Awards were run by this writer, Best New Starlett would have turned out much differently. No offense to Kagney Linn Karter who is also extremely sexy. If you haven’t noticed yet, Misti commented on the “Special Thanks” post I wrote recently to the stars who signed for our booth at AEE this year. First of all, I have heard the Compound you used for your expert Submissive and Domina training had an electrical accident. What happened and was everyone ok?
Thank you for asking and yes everyone is OK! There were actually 2 fires and I managed to get my animals (4 parrots) out of the building quickly each time. The first fire was of older knob and tube origin due to cracked insulator wiring and the second was a reignite the next day. I had a 13 room Victorian and the 3rd floor where the playrooms were located took the most damage. Within a few weeks my friends and I moved everything to a new space. (Some of them traveled from across the USA like etienne from San Diego.) We all learned how to recondition rubber, leather and wood. It was quite an education.
The busty blond has been working in porn and juggling life as a student for nearly 10 years.
“It’s not weird anymore,” said Lee, a first-year student pursuing a master’s in fine arts. “I’ve just been doing this for so long.”

Michelle Kim Hall, 27, is equally supportive. “Good for her,” said Hall, of Los Angeles. “The woman who won the Oscars for best screenplay [Diablo Cody] was a stripper.”
Lee’s stories, based heavily on experiences in the porn business, have appeared in $pread magazine and the Denver Quarterly.
A 2008 graduate of San Francisco State University, Lee decided to pursue a master’s in creative writing on the advice of former professors, she said.
When the porn queen got the acceptance call from the head of NYU’s program, she was elated. “She said they were excited about my writing,” said Lee, dressed in a pink tank top, black mini-skirt and knee-high boots. “I don’t know if she says that to everybody, but it felt pretty good.”
Lee has been in more than 200 films since entering the porn business at age 19, and she’s been nominated for three Adult Video News Awards.
She gets paid up to $1,400 per day, and estimates she has made between $30,000 and $60,000 a year.
The worlds of academia and porn have collided awkwardly for Lee.
At a shoot in Los Angeles last month, a crew member asked the topic of a book she was reading. “Two misogynists looking for love,” Lee told him. “The same plotline of the movie.”
Lee isn’t quite sure what she wants to do after she graduates, but she doesn’t expect to leave the porn industry. “I still do get something out of my work in porn,” Lee said. “I think I’m good at it.”
She feels her skills carry over into her writing. “The ability to focus on what’s happening right at that moment,” Lee said. “In these fields, you have to have a lot of personal drive.”
A big part of the industry is doing the circuit, meeting the fans and getting the videos out within the industry. Adult Shows are the perfect venue for sellers, buyers, the public and those in the industry looking to have a good time. Summer is here and so are a number of shows and expos.

‘Naked People’ was created by artist Sebastian Kempa. He expertly tapped into the imagination/voyeur in all of us with this project. He gives us the ability to see a picture of a fully clothed stranger, and by simply clicking on that picture their clothing disappears and you’re left viewing their naked body.
Most of the bodies are exactly how I would imagine they would be, while, naturally, some of them were a little bit of a surprise. I did notice that if I based my assumption of German men off of this project alone, I would think none of them were circumcised. Let’s just say I’m happy to be an American (and sometimes, only for that reason).

Sasha Grey is one of the most interesting porn stars I’ve ever had the privilege of interviewing. You never really know what the next thing to come out of her mouth will be, because she’s not predictable like most porn stars are.
There has been a lot of press & buzz around Sasha Grey lately because of her team up with Steven Soderbergh in ‘The Girlfriend Experience’. In the movie, Sasha Grey plays a call girl and there’s really no nudity at all (this is what I’ve read on sundance.com).. it’s not getting any good reviews, really and that sorta bums me out. I was hoping it was going to be a big hit and the masses would learn to be more accepting of the porn industry, but I’m noticing that’s just one huge pipe dream.
Anyway! Sasha Grey also teamed up with VBS and did a 3 part video interview and photo shoot. The interview is very interesting, yet kind of creepy how the dudes are pretty much idolizing her. Take a look:
The only problem I have with the interview is that Sasha Grey and the Interviewer are once again, idolizing what she does. I understand that being a porn star can be really great in the sense that you’re opening up a lot of peoples eyes to new things, but I don’t believe it’s heroic. However, I can definitely respect the fact that she’s a film nerd and that she appreciates good cinema.

So, midway through yesterday’s Super Bowl, Arizona fans already had reason to be “raging”, but for Tuscon residents there was reason for “raging boners“.
It seems that either through a insanely random technical mishap, or through the mischievous workings of a Comcast employee, last night’s game was interrupted for nearly thirty seconds by porn titan Evan Stone’s wang in a 4-g spin.
Comcast claims that it’s technicians have been working through the night to identify the reason for the windmilling-wang display, but as of now, have uncovered nothing.
