Exxxotica Meets Badge of Shame

Comedian Joe Hanson of Badge Of Shame Comedy is a fan of expos. Although, not quite in the way a regular Exxxotica enthusiast is.

Badge of Shame is a sketch comedy group created by Joe “Ghostface” Hanson and Tommy “Raekwon” Bechtold. It also features their friends, cohorts and random girls they would like to bone. (If a girl appears in one sketch, but never again, it means she did not want to bone, and is BANNED FOREVER).

You might recognize Tommy and Joe from the TV show Smash Cuts, in which they sat on a couch and laughed at videos of car crashes and skydiving mishaps. But they have also been in other television shows, movies, online sketches, improv groups and police lineups. – BadgeofShameComedy.com

Joe brought his blend of awkwardly funny comedy to Exxxotica in Los Angeles and came out with some great material. We’ve been laughing at this one all morning.

Thanks Joe!

Entourage: Porn Scenes From an Italian Restraunt

Entourage - Sasha Grey and Vinny Chase

The newest episode of the HBO hit series, Entourage, brings the Hollywood golden boy down to a level we wished was never possible.

Although Jeremy Piven is one of my all time favorite actors, and Ari Gold had major events occur last evening, I have decided to keep this article focused on Vince Chase and Sasha Grey. Whom maybe I should call the “hard-ass gone hypocrite” and “free spirited fuck princess?”

If there has ever been one single point of advice which has never let me down, it would be to “fall for a person for who they are…not who you wish they could be.” What drove me crazy about this episode was it’s unfortunate realistic point of view on dating in the adult entertainment world. Why is it that people cannot understand pornography is a career. It is a choice. Minus stories such as Linda Lovelace’s horrifying experience, a much greater percentage of actors and actresses do actually CHOOSE to pursue this field. With that in mind, would it have been acceptable for Sasha to offer Vince a porn role to keep him out of “Airwalkers”?

Spoiler Alert: Please Do Not Read Further if You Have Not Seen “Entourage: Porn Scenes From an Italian Restraunt.”

Sasha Grey was written into the dinner scene with very little acting involved. Vince decides he is not keen on her involvement with an upcoming 5 man gang bang film. So he pulls what could be argued as an unnecessary string to get her a part in “Airwalker”, and give her a reason to quit the porn film. Sasha of course declines, and Vince desperately reaches out with the “L” word as a second attempt. Reality then falls like a boulder from the sky when Sasha Grey retorts with, “Sounds more like you’re trying to control me.”

Let’s forget for a second that the rest of their scene took place having passionate sex in the bathroom and apparently the entire dinner could have been cocaine induced. There is something very real about a sexually free-willed personality attracting some of the most controlling people in the world. Why is this?

Is it a form of jealousy created by a lack of one’s own sexual freedom?

Do people truly believe that repression is some sort of “perfect” path?

Why is it that the world thinks people in the Adult Entertainment Industry are always looking to be saved from some horrible fate they can’t control?

—Comment With Your Thoughts!—

Mucho props also go out to Kevin Connolly (a.k.a Eric Murphy) for directing this episode. Entourage may be meeting it’s end next season, but Mark Wahlberg IS releasing another show based on the porn business. Maybe we’ll keep just a little of the Entourage nostalgia if the two decide to work together? Cross your fingers.

Porn Legends – John Curtis Holmes

Porn Star Legends - John HolmesJohn Curtis Holmes, better known as John C. Holmes or Johnny Wadd, was one of the most prolific male porn stars of all time, appearing in about 2,500 adult loops, stag films, and pornographic feature movies in the 1970s and 1980s. He was best known for his giant penis, which was heavily promoted as being the longest, thickest, and hardest in porn.

Holmes was the subject of several books, a lengthy essay in Rolling Stone magazine, and at least two feature length documentaries, and was the inspiration for two Hollywood movies, Boogie Nights and Wonderland.

John Holmes was to the adult film industry what Elvis was to rock ‘n’ roll. He simply was The King.” -Cinematographer Bob Vosse in the documentary Wadd: The Life and Times of John C. Holmes.

John Holmes frequented a men’s card-playing club in Gardena, California, where one evening a still photographer, standing next to him at a urinal, noticed his huge penis and encouraged him to do porn. During the late 1960s, Holmes initially did magazine work and an occasional 8 mm loop, keeping his work in porn a secret from his wife.

With the success of Deep Throat (1972), The Devil in Miss Jones (1973), and Behind the Green Door (1972), porn became chic, although its legality was still hotly contested. John Holmes was arrested during this time for pimping and pandering, but he avoided prison time by becoming an informant for the LAPD.

In 1971, Holmes‘ career began to take off with a porn series built around a private investigator named Johnny Wadd. By 1978, Holmes was reputed to be earning as much as $3,000 a day as a porn actor. He starred at a time when personality could compensate for a lack of other aesthetic characteristics, and a certain amount of acting ability was still demanded of porn stars.

John Holmes‘ main asset in the porn business was his exceptionally large penis. No definitive measurement or documentation verifying this exists, leaving its exact size unknown.

John Holmes - Johnny WaddVeteran porn actress Dorothea “Seka” Patton has stated that Holmes‘ penis was the biggest in the industry. John Holmes‘ first wife recalled him claiming to be 10 inches when he first measured himself. Holmes himself once claimed his penis to be fifteen inches long. John Holmes‘ longtime manager, Bill Amerson, said that “I saw John measure himself several times, it was 13 and a half inches.” Reviewing Holmes‘ films over the course of his career shows that most of his early co-stars tended to be short and slender, whereas women with whom he engaged in onscreen sex later in his career were much taller and had proportionately larger bodies. This caused John Holmes‘ penis size to seem different compared to each of his co-stars.

So celebrated was Holmes‘ penis size it was used as a marketing tool for films he wasn’t even in. Anybody but My Husband had the promotional tag line “Tony The Hook Perez has a dick so big that he gives even John Holmes a run for his money.” After his death the length of Holmes‘ penis continued to be used to market Holmes-related material. At the premier of the film Wonderland, patrons were given thirteen-and-a-half inch rulers as gag gifts.

In 1981, John Holmes began to claim that he had sex with 14,000 women. To substantiate this number, and assuming Holmes‘ first experience with a woman occurred at 16 as he claimed, then he would have had to have sex with 666 different women a year-1.8 women a day-for the next 21 years. Pornography historian Luke Ford calculated the number of John Holmes‘ sexual partners over the course of his lifetime to be roughly 3,000.

Heidi Montag Sex Tape Closest Thing to The Hills Porn

Speidi Sex TapeA lot of buzz has surfaced just recently surrounding the reality television super couple, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag. The married duo, also dubbed “Speidi” by popular media, apparently has a sex tape for sale!

In what would most certainly be every horny “The Hills” fan’s wet dream, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag lay their personal sex life on camera. Spencer is laying the guidelines down at 5 million for the newest celebrity sex tape. There has not been any word of an offer in response from the Adult Industry celebrity sex tape giant, Vivid Entertainment, but you can be sure the news has crossed Steven Hirsch’s luxurious desk.

Popular opinion is that a market DOES exist for the Speidi Sex Tape. Given the long term success and continued viewership of “The Hills“, it is feasible that this reality celebrity sex tape could reach the same levels as “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Danielle Staub’s porn flick. Keep your eyes and ears open on this one. I’m giving the Speidi Sex Tape the “Sleeper” label as of right now. We’ll keep you informed as this story unfolds.

Mark Whalberg Moving Farther into the Porn Genre

Mark Wahlberg - HBO Porn Drama

After creating a recurrent character out of Mega Porn Star Sasha Grey on his hit series, Entourage, it does not come as a surprise that Mark Whalberg‘s next project is reportedly a drama focusing on the porn industry.

Whalberg and Executive Producer of Entourage, Steve Levinson, have teamed up with writer James Frey on the project. James Frey is best known for his media controversies. Frey’s memoirs, titled A Million Little Pieces, detail experiences during his treatment for alcohol and drug addiction at a rehabilitation center in Minnesota. Shortly after being released, The Smoking Gun website published an article: “A Million Little Lies: Exposing James Frey’s Fiction Addiction” alleging that Frey fabricated large parts of his memoirs, including details about his criminal record. The questionable writing style eventually reached the ear of day time television giant, Oprah Winfrey, who invited James Frey and his publisher, Nan Talese, to the show for answers. Talese said she and Frey were led to believe the show was going to be a panel discussion on “Truth in America”. Just before air time, both Talese and Frey were told the topic of the show had been changed to “The James Frey Controversy”. According to Talese, at the end of the show, Oprah pulled Frey aside and said, “I know it was rough, but it’s just business.” In May 2009, Vanity Fair reported that Oprah Winfrey had called James Frey and made a formal apology for blasting him on her show for this scandal.

“The plot will focus on a giant video company under siege from Internet competitors and a girl from the Midwest whose boyfriend convinces her to move to Los Angeles to become a star,” - New York Post

“We’re going to make a sprawling epic about the porn business in LA. We’re going to tell the type of stories no one else has told before, and go places no one has gone before.” - James Frey, New York Post

There are many national publications that are already digging at this project and James Frey saying, “I’ve already seen Boogie Nights” and “Just to make sure everyone knows it’s a fictional show, author James Frey has been tapped to write the pilot.” Before you create a false notion of this being a preordained flop by a lying writer, hear me out.

The only thing released recently concerning the modern Adult Entertainment Industry, is Middle Men starring Luke Wilson and Giovanni Ribisi. The film has had mixed reviews and a mild showing, but has not failed. What people in the porn industry know about their fans, is that they DO NOT like associating their personal identities with their tastes and/or interests in pornography. Wahlberg‘s HBO series would fill the gap that a feature mainstream Adult Industry focused film creates, and most likely be much more risque. Those interested are able to watch the hour long drama in the comfort and privacy of their own homes, rather than place their faces amongst others in their community at the local movie theater.

Not to mention, have you read James Frey‘s newer works? In late 2007, Frey signed a new three-book, seven figure deal with Harper Collins to release his novel, Bright Shiny Morning, which was published May 13, 2008. The title made the New York Times Best Seller list, and Michelle Green of People magazine gave the novel a positive review, calling Frey a “wildly talented storyteller”, commenting that the novel is “so powerful it makes one wonder why he ever detoured into nonfiction.”

Laurence Fishburne Lays The Fatherly Smack Down

Laurence Fishburne Speaks to Montana Fishburne

This past Monday, August 16th, Montana Fishburne, a.k.a. Chippy D Fishburne, finally made contact with her father by phone. This is the first communication Montana has had with Laurence Fishburne since making her decision to enter the world of porn and join Vivid Entertainment.

In our last visit to the Fishburne Saga, we informed you of Laurence‘s failed attempt to band friends together and collectively spend one million dollars to buy every distributed copy of his daughter’s sex tape. Needless to say, Daddy was not happy when his efforts came up short. In his phone conversation with Montana, Laurence was concise and to the point.

Montana‘s father’s choice of words toward his daughter stated, “I’m not going to speak with you ’till you turn your life around.” Obviously referring to when she decides to end her porn career. She also disclosed that his final words on the matter were, “You used your last name. No one uses their real name in porn.” Although Montana Fishburne has been in the media as herself, she did attempt to use “Chippy D” as her porn name. Unfortunately, she billed herself as “Chippy D Fishburne” rather than just the first name and initial. I imagine the retort from a 19 year old went something like, “…but Dad! I wouldn’t have gotten anywhere without it…” Oh Montana, anyone who’s seen your film can say that you got plenty.

Philadelphia’s Last XXX Movie Theater

PHILADELPHIA—The last XXX movie theater in Philadelphia was on its way to becoming a part of history until, at the last minute, the city’s zoning board approved a variance to expand the space significantly. Despite continuing opposition from a neighborhood group, it now looks as if the venerable Forum Theater on Market Street will be around for years to come.

According to an article by the Philadelphia Inquirer architecture critic, Inga Saffron, the battle over the Forum is all but over, since it is very rare for the courts to reverse a zoning board decision. In March, a Common Pleas Court judge upheld a decision made in 2009 by the zooming board to allow the theater’s owner to raise the roof by three feet.

“That sounds trivial,” she wrote, “but, as theater attorney Ronald D. Patterson told me, the extra height would enable his client to insert a mezzanine and increase the operation’s total floor space by about 80 percent.”

The extra space will allow the theater to construct a new second-floor stage as well as install private viewing booths. In exchange for the variance, the theater’s longtime owner, Anthony Trombetta, said he would do away with the Les Gals, another strip club he owns on Market Street. According to Saffron, that allowance by Trombetta gave the zoning board the justification it needed as cover for its decision.

“The board’s logic, according to court documents, was that a one big porn palace was better for Market Street than two small ones,” she wrote. “In allowing Trombetta to enlarge the Forum, city planners and the zoning board went hook, line, and sinker for his argument that a consolidated porn operation would benefit Market Street.”

PLAYBOY Magazine – There’s An App For That!

PLAYBOY Magazine Now with HD iPhone App

News of this interesting adult tech twist has me wanting to shake Steve Jobs’ hand and say, “If you build it, porn will come.” The world renowned adult magazine, PLAYBOY, has decided to join the mobile game with a brand new app for the Apple iPhone.

The new app is actually a high definition mobile edition of PLAYBOY Magazine, but without any tits or ass. In order to be approved by Apple’s puritan regime, Heff’s dream needed to keep the nudity out. So, if a friend of yours has this app…he can truly say that he reads PLAYBOY for the articles. This comes as a confusing decision by Apple after wiping their application store clean of any and all sexual content earlier this year. A purging that included apps featuring not only nude women, but women wearing bikinis and lingerie as well. Since Steve Jobs’ moral iPhone and iPad crusade, many public out-cries have been made concerning the blatant censorship. None have been more influential than that of the disapproval of a Pulitzer Prize winning cartoonist’s application.

Mark Fiore is the cartoonist for the San Francisco Chronicle, and an application featuring his work was created for the iPhone and iPad. Apple initially disapproved the app for Mark’s satirizing of people within his comics. After a large media out-cry, Apple was forced to approve the app and avoid further negative press. It’s interesting how a satirical comic strip requires a social movement in order to receive approval, but a magazine based solely on the male libido can waltz in by cutting women off from the shoulder down. Steve Jobs, your morals are about as solid as the silicone you strive to never support.

Vivid Makes New Offer to Montana Fishburne

Montana Fishburne as Porn Star Chippy DWell, it’s official. After selling out 25,000 copies as “Chippy D” in her first porn film with Vivid Entertainment, Montana Fishburne is now a porn star. So much of a porn star in fact, that Vivid has seen enough success to offer her a multi-video deal.

Montana Fishburne‘s father, Laurence Fishburne, worked diligently to form a counter move to his daughter’s newly chosen adult career. He and his close friends had agreed to buy every copy for a collective cool million, and keep the light of social day from ever hitting Montana‘s raised bare ass. Unfortunately, Steven Hirsch had no intention of letting his newest celebrity daughter experiment be tampered with. The DVD had already shipped, and Laurence Fishburne‘s baby girl is now somebody else’s baby on camera.

Information regarding exactly how many films Vivid has offered Montana Fishburne is still a mystery. If they are all this successful, we may be forgetting Montana Fishburne and praising Chippy D much sooner than expected.

Q&A With Stars from Middle Men Luke Wilson and Giovanni Ribisi

Q: Do you even remember the first time you realized there was porn on the Internet?

Luke Wilson: You know, I’m just not computer savvy. I mean, I can barely work my BlackBerry. I feel like, for me, it was a couple of years ago. But just to hear that it started back in 1995 is pretty incredible.

Giovanni Ribisi: It is something that you’ll often find at the beginning of any technological advance. The early proponents for DVD technology, for instance, were the adult-film-industry producers and pornographers. But I remember when porn was sent via e-mail on dial-up modems, so it took an eternity to even pull up a Web page.

Q: So if porn isn’t one of your Internet vices, what do you surf for on the Web?

Luke Wilson: BobDylan.com. That’s it for me. Literally, I can’t work a computer. I feel like a knucklehead saying it. I barely got out of college without learning how to use one. I’d write a paper in longhand and get it typed out by a typist for about $1 a page. And I was in the last era where you were able to do that. I do have an iPod. But again, I’ll have a friend feed a disc into his computer and get the song that I want while I lean over their shoulder saying, “Are you kidding? You can get this that fast?”

Giovanni Ribisi: I’m addicted to this Web site for the Khan Academy [www.khanacademy.org]. This guy, Salman Khan, went to MIT and ended up being an investment banker. He walked away from that to post online tutorials for everything from mathematics and biology to economics. He has been on CNN, and he’s won a ton of awards for the way that he teaches. Apparently he has more than 80,000 subscribers. It’s really just phenomenal what this guy has done for nonprofit education.

Q: Luke, what made you want to take this part?

Luke Wilson: I do a lot of comedy, and so the idea of getting to do something that was very different than anything I’d ever played really appealed to me. I was just appreciative of getting asked to do something like this, that someone would have enough faith to think, “Oh, this guy can do that.”

Q: And yet a lot of the material in Middle Men could have been played for huge laughs.

Luke Wilson: Yeah, but also I’ve seen the movie about four times now, and when I do I laugh a lot. Especially at Giovanni’s and Gabriel Macht’s characters. The thing about George [Gallo] is that he’s really funny and very quick-witted. He wrote Midnight Run and Bad Boys. But the movies I like always walk that fine line. The Wes Anderson movies always seem bittersweet. They can be sad, and then they can be really funny. And George just seemed to walk that line well.
